I liked this series better than the first one in terms of action and plot. I'm still not sure which I like most though.

I like this one more than the original hands down. Just as u said better plot and action. Also there were more characters and better development between them. Also the ending I have to say is 10 times and so are the openings.

The reason this one is better is because it actually follows the Manga more closely. The original series got ahead of the manga so they had to start bullshitting things, hence why it never really finished.
