Lucky Star
Any other fans of Lucky Star? Some may not believe this is marketed at the Shonen demographic, but it is.
Gotta love the random conversations they have and especially the guys in the bookstore selling Manga.

Never even heard of it grungekins, it doesn't really ring a bell or striked a chord with me.

Re: Lucky Star
I can't believe you haven't at least heard of it, Naiwen.
I love Lucky Star even though I haven't watched much about it. The first episode alone was talking about stuff like how to eat cream horns (I think?) and various pastries.
Completely random and entertaining.

The bolded part is the show in a nutshell. You should watch more episodes of it.
Re: Lucky Star
So to wrap it too, its just pure and only entertainment? XDD Like theres nothing else in there? No love triangle and etc?Grungie wrote:MoonCookieChan wrote:I can't believe you haven't at least heard of it, Naiwen.

Re: Lucky Star
You'll probably enjoy the food talk in the first episode.
You also get to learn about Moe

Re: Lucky Star
Well first they talk about chocolate cornets, then they go on about curry rice and then popsicles. I think there's talk about shoe cream (or however that's actually spelled.)
Re: Lucky Star
No pockies or Japanese food talking and the like?Grungie wrote:Well first they talk about chocolate cornets, then they go on about curry rice and then popsicles. I think there's talk about shoe cream (or however that's actually spelled.)

Re: Lucky Star
I curry rice is kind of Japanese food.
Here's a link to the first episode. The food talk is in line the first 10 mins:
(I hope it's okay to link full episodes from youtube)

Re: Lucky Star
I like Lucky Star, I haven't seen all of the episodes yet though. My favorite character is Tsukasa.
Re: Lucky Star
I'm currently watching it... and must say, its making me quite hungry and starved too, especially the cake buffet episode.

Re: Lucky Star
Just watching the first episode from the link here. XD
It is really about nothing, but it is entrtaining.
It is the knd of endless conversations taht probably wouldn't work in a book.
Or at least the ones they ask you to remove from a book, but it is closer to the way they work in real life, just moving from topic to another.

I agree, the cake buffet is quite a tease. I think my favorite characters are the bookstore workers.
Re: Lucky Star
Nop, haven't paid attention to them much... I mean, I got more focused on the cake buffet part. XDD

Re: Lucky Star
Oic.
I just love how the book store guys are so overly dramatic, and how they're drawn so much better than the rest of the characters.

Re: Lucky Star
What episode is that?
Do you guys think you need to see them in order or skipping to that one would still make sense? (I'll laugh if cake buffet ends up to be the second episode).
