Any good Drama/Tragedies?
As much as I love romance and as much as I love comedy, I also love a really good tragedy. Does anyone know of some good ones? It seems to be a less popular genre by name, so it's become relatively hard for me to find.

Ones I have heard of being excellent tradegies, a couple I've watched:
Full Moon Wo Sagashite (not much of a tradegy, but I liked it)
Grave of the Fireflies (anime movie by Studio Ghibli, very sad, liked it)
Rurouni Kenshin (has comedy, sadness, tragic, and loved it)
Heard that:
Elfen Lied (is good too, apparently)
I can dig up a few more if you want me to.
Just click on the titles, they will redirect to their Wikipedia pages.

I'll check them all out, thank you. I've been suggested Elfen Lied about 15 times.. I think I should start watching it now. >.>

Have you checked out lovely complex? Its a drama of some sort, in the romance-shojo genre. Perhaps another for you, princess tutu.

I'll add that to my list. Also, just finished Elfen Lied.. Not seeing the hype behind it, though maybe it's because of how often boobs are shown.

Really slow build-up to the ending, they could have made it 4-5 episodes long and gotten in all the information they somehow stretched into 13 episodes. Pretty gorey for an anime that has blood, when someones limbs are cut off it actually shows the bone and muscle in many cases, but nothing that would be considered too much, at all. I'd rate the series a 6-6.5, but not one I'll be re-watching.

then I probably shouldn't watch it, I mean, I really hate gory and blood in an anime. Re: Any good Drama/Tragedies?
then disregard my thrillers recommendations, Naiwen. Gantz is very similar to what you won't like. XD
Anyway, I am not sure if Chrono Crusade, the anime may fall here.
For the record, I did like Elfen Lied, most of the violence was just episode one. I felt the anime rushed and didn't go deep, not even in Lucy (and that cousin is weeeird). I would like to read the manga.
